Garrett Boost Club Line - turbocharger for little space
The small GBC Turbos come with integrated wastegates and core assemblies with plain bearings. Their high-performance compressor wheels are CFD-optimized, forged and milled from high-strength aluminum alloys, which is why they can withstand an amazing amount of power. At the same time, they have been specially developed for limited space and small displacements. A small GBC Turbo is therefore ideal for
- ATV's,
- watercraft such as jet skis and jet boats,
- snowmobiles,
- small cars,
- motorcycles.
The Club Boost Line turbochargers have an oil-cooled housing with a core assembly with plain bearings, an internal wastegate with a pressure cell calibrated to 0.5 bar. You can get additional pressure cells with 1 bar and 1.5 bar separately. Incidentally, the GBC series is also considered a low-budget variant among turbochargers. The core group is attached to the exhaust housing with a V-band. This allows it to be rotated 360° and mounted in any position.
This is what the GBC turbocharger numbers mean
The GBC series currently includes four turbochargers with numbering indicating the characteristics of the turbo. The number before the dash indicates the size of the compressor wheel entry in inches. The number after the hyphen shows you the maximum horsepower. For example, on the Garrett GBC22-350, the entry size is 22 inches and the turbocharger is suitable for a power output of up to 350 hp.
